The Equine Alliance Youth Foundation presents "An Evening of Guitars" Benefit Concert

The Equine Alliance Youth Foundation is presenting "An Evening of Guitars" benefit concert featuring two internationally known groups: Calmenco! and Incendio. All proceeds will benefit underserved youth in San Luis Obispo County.

The Equine Alliance Youth Foundation provides year-round emotional and physical healing services free of charge for undeserved youth throughout San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara counties using equine-based experiential learning therapies. Our unique equine rescue and rehabilitation programs empower youth and provide an effective behavioral intervention program that engages its participants in their own life improvement process.

Over 2000 young people and their families have benefited from its programs.

Boys & Girls Club of Santa Maria: An Open House Club Adventure at the Club

SANTA MARIA -- It’s an annual celebration for our supporters and those who want to come out and tour the Club, meet Club members, experience our program areas and sample some food & drink along the way.  As The Boys & Girls Club of the Santa Maria Valley move into their 46th year of programming here in the Santa Maria Valley, the Club hopes to garner community interest and have the public come out to see first- hand how they are helping build great futures in the Santa Maria Valley. The evening is sure to please with receiving your own passport, tours with Club members, delicious, heavy appetizers by Testa Catering, a cash bar and an evening program highlighting special award recipients to culminate.  Reserve your spot today! YMCA Winter Break Camp

TRY NEW THINGS, AMAZING LEARNING EXPERIENCES.

The Y is working with local elementary school principals to develop curriculum that will continue to challenge your child’s young mind all while still having fun and enjoying their winter break.

The Y is currently offering winter break camps through-January 13 open to ages 4-12 for the very low price of $100.00 for YMCA members and $115 for participants per week.

2nd Year of “Reasons for the Season Holiday Extravaganza” at the Discovery Museum

SANTA MARIA—Everybody knows that sharing, caring and generosity are some of the “reasons for the season” and local small businesses are putting their profits where it counts by donating proceeds of a huge holiday shopping event at the Discovery Museum towards Discovery Museum scholarships for homeless and needy children. 
On Friday, December 9th, the community is invited to visit the Discovery Museum from 5:30 to 7:30 and shop over a dozen home-based businesses and make a dent in their holiday shopping all while knowing their purchases support two child-focused agencies. 

Partnering with the Good Samaritan Shelter, this event will allow the Discovery Museum to provide field trip scholarships to the Museum for kids in the Good Samaritan Afterschool Program AND for free admissions to the Museum for families living in the
